It’s time for the RWA® National Conference

27 Jun

Times Square

The Gem State Writers love to blog about the writing life in Idaho, but this week five of us will be leaving the state to attend The Romance Writers of America® annual national conference in New York City.

Over 2000 writers will gather at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square for this annual opportunity to pitch their manuscripts to editors and agents, network with industry professionals, and study the craft of writing.

Half of the Gem State Writers (Meredith, Liz, Janis, Peggy, and Gail) -will be attending the conference while the others (Johanna, Carley, Lynn, Mary and Neysa) hold down the fort here in Idaho.

Those of us who are attending the conference will be participating in workshops, taking lots of photographs, and tweeting from the various events.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this conference. Are you attending? Which conference events would you most like to hear about?

Janis here. We’re having a great time. There will be so much see and learn. Thanks for doing this, Clarissa.

How does one get to be a member/writer of Gem State Writers. I know a gal who writes for you who lives here in Chicago. Check out my motivational blog at http://www.elgin.bocajump.com under blogs and my personal blog http://www.lauradionjones.blogspot.com. I’d love to join all y’all. Thank you.
